Newfield Resources Limited (ASX: NWF) has completed on-site commissioning of its Dense Media Separation Plant located at the Allotropes Diamond Project in Sierra Leone (Figure 1).

The Dense Media Separation Plant consists of four separate containerised sections that have all been successfully commissioned and formally signed off by the plant manufacturer (Figure 2).

The Plant will systematically process bulk samples of prospective gravels from the numerous prospect areas that have been outlined by the company’s exploration program over the past six months.

 

The circuit has a design capacity of 10 tonnes per hour with head feed rate ranging from 20tpa-40tpa dependent on gravel facies type.

 

The company expects to be granted approval soon for a small scale Mining Licence application that covers an area of previously defined gravels in the Golu area.
