Blackham Resources Limited (ASX: BLK) – $0.135
28 Apr 2015
Blackham Resources Limited (ASX: BLK) has received the latest assay results from drilling at the Matilda Gold Project in Western Australia (Figure 1).
Figure 1. Location of Matilda Gold Project
Highlights from Scorchers Zone intercepts include:
- 8 metres at 5.16g/t gold from 58 metres (end of hole)
- 8 metres at 5.60g/t gold from 49 metres including 2 metres at 16.4g/t gold
- 2 metres at 5.96g/t gold from 43 metres
The current drilling program is targeting a number of extensions and potential new lode positions that could expand the free milling open pit mine inventory with a view to recommission the Wiluna Gold Plant.
With the recent discoveries of the higher grade Iceberg 2 and Scorchers Lodes immediately to the north and south of the M4 pit, the mineralisation now stretches over 1,800 metres and is open in both directions.
A replacement reverse circulation drill rig has arrived on site at the Republic quartz reef location and will recommence shortly. The initial three drillholes for approximately 1,300 metres is aimed at following up on the 7 historical drillhole intercepts to test the most prospective core of the reef close to the East Lode Fault.
