Avanco Resources Limited (ASX: AVB) has received assay results from the Pedra Branca infill drilling program located in Carajas, Brazil.
Highlights include:
- 40.0m2 at 1.60% copper, 0.26g/t gold from 436.0m2 including 18.8m2 at 2.89% copper, 0.89g/t gold from 437.6m2
- 47.85m2 at 1.27% copper, 0.36g/t gold from 418.15m2
- 27.0m2 at 1.63% copper, 0.37g/t gold from 261.0m2 including 12.65m2 at 2.39% copper, 0.55g/t gold from 261.0m2
The infill diamond drilling program of eleven drillholes for 4,192m is now complete. The program intersected massive sulphides (Figure 1) and defined the orebody and high grade mineralisation to be open along strike indicating the potential for further resource growth.

The company anticipates that the drilling program will upgrade the existing Pedra Branca Inferred Resource, currently 46.8Mt at 1.2% copper and 0.33g/t gold for 560,000t of copper and 500,000oz of gold, to Indicated and Inferred Resource categories.
Next steps include the preparation of a JORC compliant resource upgrade and a scoping study.
