Atherton Resources Limited (ASX: ATE) has intersected high grade zinc at its King Vol Project located in Queensland (Figure 1).

Highlights from the latest assay results include:
- 1.65 metres at 50.3% zinc from 325.1 metres
- 1.75 metres at 16.9% zinc from 339.35 metres
- 1.90 metres at 21.3% zinc from 290.0 metres
- 2.00 metres at 9.6% zinc and 5.0% lead from 185.0 metres
The diamond drilling program at King Vol comprises 18 drillholes with 14 of those now drilled and assay results from the first ten drillholes now received. The program is designed to increase the Indicated Mineral Resource.
The Mineral Resource currently stands at 2.99 million tonnes at 11.9% zinc, 0.8% copper, 0.6% lead and 29.9g/t silver.
The latest results will form part of the company’s next resource estimate that will be included in the feasibility study which is due for completion in March 2016 and production scheduled for early 2017.
